Ring Groups

8x8 Work users who are part of a ring group can see all their assigned groups in one place, under the Ring Groups tab.

Note: If users are not assigned to any ring group, the Ring Groups tab does not appear in their 8x8 Work interface.

The Ring Groups tab is hidden by default and becomes visible when enabled by administrators in the 8x8 Admin Console.

Administrators can manage the visibility of non-interactive Ring Groups using the new Display ring groups without login/logout control setting in Work Apps Settings within 8x8 Admin Console. Once enabled, users can view all assigned ring groups directly from the app interface. To learn more, see 8x8 Admin Console - Configure Work Apps Settings.

Note: In this release, Ring Groups are view-only. In an upcoming release, users will be able to log in and log out of specific ring groups directly from the Ring Groups tab.

Access Your Ring Groups

Depending on your organization’s configuration, you may either:

  • Log in to your ring groups automatically when you sign in to 8x8 Work.

Or

  • Log in manually once you open the Ring Groups tab (this feature is coming soon).

By default, you are automatically logged in to your assigned call queues.

To view your ring groups:

  1. Open 8x8 Work for Desktop or Web.
  2. In the left navigation, click Ring Groups .
  3. Review the list of ring groups you are assigned to.
