You can add to or hide users from the auto attendant directory by going to Home > Users > Auto Attendant contact directory scopeAuto Attendant contact directory scope. If the option is added, the user appears when a caller dials by name or extension, or when the caller searches the company directory. If the option is not added, the caller cannot find the user in the auto attendant directory via the menu. For details regarding auto attendant, see our content on Set up Automatic Call Handling.
To add users to auto attendant contact directory:
- In 8x8 Admin Console, go to Home > Users.
- While creating or editing the user, scroll down to see Auto Attendant contact directory scope.
- Click to enable Add this user to the Auto Attendant directory.
Click to save the user profile.
