Manage your call quality

With 8x8 Work for Desktop, you can track connection status and manage the audio quality of your inbound and outbound call.

To monitor call quality connection:

When you are on a call and you notice that the quality of your or the caller's microphone audio is poor, you can hover over the Connection indicator to view the strength of the call connection .

  • If the source of the other caller's problem is clear, you can tell the other caller that the call audio quality may be choppy or delayed.
  • If you see that your own connection is experiencing a drop in strength, consider closing a few apps to restore better quality of your connection.

Note: A call quality alert pop-up notification appears if the connection quality is bad suggesting to try closing some apps to improve call quality.
