Access call history
Your recent call logs are listed under Calls in 8x8 Work for Desktop, along with:
call duration, call type. When click the call duration, some information displays:
- Call type - incoming, outcoming, missed call
- Call duration
- Extension number
To access call history:
- Open your Calls list.
- Select Calls to view all inbound, outbound, and missed calls.
OR
Select Missed to view all missed calls. - When you hover over a call in your call history, you can:
- Call back: Click the Phone option to call the desired party.
- Message: If available for the number, click the Chat option to chat with the desired party via IM (for company contacts) or SMS (for external numbers).
- Open more options: If available for the number, you can click the More option to:
- Open the call details.
- Start meetings via 8x8 Meet with the caller (company contacts only).
- Select the call log to delete. You are able to select additional call logs to delete; once you are finished selecting, click Delete.
- If enabled by your administrator, block a spam caller.
To create personal contacts from call logs:
If you frequently communicate with a number outside of your company contacts, you can create a personal contact directly from a call log.
- Open your Calls list.
- Select Calls to view all inbound, outbound, and missed calls.
OR
Select Missed to view all missed calls. - Hover over the desired contact, and then click the More option that appears to open a drop-down menu.
- From the drop-down, select Create new contact to start creating a new contact.
- Enter the contact details.
- When you are finished, save your changes. The personal contact now shows up under Contacts > My Contacts.
