As a guest invited to an 8x8 Virtual Office meeting, you can join online or via Virtual Office to collaborate with other participants. While in a meeting, take advantage of features at your disposal that make your meetings more efficient and allow your experience to adapt to the needs of the meeting.
If you have joined audio but are not actively speaking, or you notice your location has background noise that could distract other participants, you can mute your microphone and continue listening to meeting audio uninterrupted.
The maximum number of participants who can access meeting audio and shared content is limited by the meeting host's Virtual Office subscription.
To mute or un-mute your microphone:
Click the Mute icon to enable or disable your microphone without disconnecting from meeting audio. The icon changes to indicate whether your microphone is active (plain) or muted (crossed out).

Click the Video icon to share or stop sharing video. The icon changes to indicate whether your camera is active (plain) or inactive (crossed out).
If you are unable to share video online despite having a working camera, it is because the meeting has reached its maximum number of simultaneous video streams.
As an online or mobile participant, you can view on-screen content (such as a web page or a presentation) that is shared by participants on desktop.
As a desktop participant, you can:
When you click the More Options icon in your main meeting window and select Start screen sharing from the menu that pops up, a window appears, allowing you to share your entire desktop or an application. During content sharing, all your on-screen actions in the shared area are captured and transmitted live to other meeting participants.
Open the list of participants in the meeting interface to view a list of participants currently in the meeting. From the list, you can see:

If group chat has been enabled by the meeting host, you can open the list of chats in the meeting interface to view and participate in the meeting group chat:
To chat with individual participants:
Let's say you arrived late to the meeting, and want to know what time the meeting began, or that you want to check whether an international participant from a particular country is able to dial in to the meeting. You can view information associated with the meeting by going to the Info tab.
To view meeting information:
If you are participating in a recurring meeting, you may want to have the information to access the meeting available for future reference. You can copy the meeting information from within the meeting, and paste it somewhere you can save it.
