Your emergency calling (E911) service delivers address-specific (versus phone number-specific) call-back information to public services when someone makes an emergency call. This enables emergency personnel to be dispatched to the scene even if the caller is unable to speak or if the call is suddenly disconnected.
Your E911 address MUST be the same as the permanent location of your 8x8 phone. If you are using the softphone only, the physical location of your computer or laptop must be entered.
Note: This setting disables your E911 service.
