The 8x8 Microsoft Integration plug-in allows Virtual Office users to create, view, and manage meetings from within Microsoft Outlook. Users can choose from a wide variety of email servers to connect with Outlook, and send email invitations for Virtual Office meetings from any connected address.
Note: This version of 8x8 Microsoft integration is optimized for use with version 4.6 of the Virtual Office desktop app. If your company uses version 5.0 of the app or newer, please refer to details on version 5 of the plug-in.
In this version of the Outlook plug-in for Virtual Office Meetings, you can:
8x8 integration with Microsoft Outlook requires you to log in via the Virtual Office desktop app. User authentication is handled via the Virtual Office desktop app, which is compatible with SAML and Google Single Sign-On.
To access 8x8 integration with Outlook, you must be logged in to the Virtual Office desktop app. If you are not logged in, or do not have it installed, you receive a warning prompting you to log in to or install the Virtual Office desktop app.
You can access a Virtual Office meeting either through an email invitation, or through My Meetings.

To join via in-room conferencing system:
In-room system callers can join a Virtual Office meeting by simply dialing a SIP URI shared in the meeting email invitation. For information on using your in-room conference systems, please refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
Note: In-room conference system callers cannot view or share screen content.
Known issue: If you join the meeting via in-room system before video is initiated in the meeting, you will be unable to join video. To join video, you must join the meeting after another meeting participant initiates video.
