Tour the Meeting Interface

Virtual Office Meetings allows you to schedule, host, and participate in a flexible meeting experience from your desktop.

You can freely navigate the Virtual Office desktop app while in a meeting, or free up more room for the meeting in your window; simply click the Collapse icon in the meeting header to hide the main application panel, or click the Expand icon that appears in its place to respond to important communications.

Note: When you navigate some portions of the app, to let you view more detail in the application window, your meeting panel collapses into a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, labeled with the name of the meeting. Click the Back arrow in the thumbnail to display the meeting in the application window again.

In the Virtual Office meeting window, you have access to the following controls and features:

Control or Tab Function
/ Mute: Mute yourself without disconnecting from other users’ audio in the meeting. If you have not yet joined meeting audio, click the Join Audio icon that displays in place of the usual icon to hear and be heard by meeting participants.
/ Share Video: Share video via your computer camera.
Invite Participants: Bring more participants into a meeting to collaborate with more of your colleagues.
More Options (main window): Open additional controls for the meeting. You can:
  • Share your on-screen content with others in the meeting by making your desktop (or the desired application window) visible to participants.
    • If you are a participant and someone else is currently sharing content, you can request to share content once the current presenter is done.
    • If you are a meeting host, you can override a participant who is sharing content.
  • Access your audio and video settings to switch between the available microphones, speakers, and cameras on your computer.
  • As a host, start or stop recording audio and shared content in the meeting. You must be a meeting host to access this option.
More Options (header): View additional information on the meeting. You can view:
  • Chat tab: Chat with other participants, and participate in the meeting's group chat, available to all participants if enabled by the host.
  • Participants tab: View meeting participants, if enabled by the host, and see who is the current active speaker. If you are a meeting host, you can use the participant list to mute or remove participants.
  • Info tab: View the details of the meeting, including who is hosting the meeting, and the dial-in numbers and Meeting IDs associated with the meeting.
