Install the Microsoft Office 365 Plug-In for Virtual Office Meetings

You can install the plug-in on your own or, if you are using Microsoft Exchange, your administrator can install it for all users. Follow the instructions below to install the plug-in.

For Microsoft Office 365 Users

  1. Log in to Office 365, and from the Office 365 home page, click Mail to open Outlook.
  2. In the header of Outlook, click the Settings icon to open a menu.
  3. From the menu, select Manage add-ins to open a list of add-ins for your Office 365 account.
  4. Search the store for 8x8 Outlook Integration, and click Install.

For Microsoft Exchange Users

  1. Log in to the Outlook Web App, and open Mail.
  2. In the header of the Outlook Web App, click the Settings icon to open a menu.
  3. From the menu, select Manage add-ins to open a list of add-ins for your account.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select Add from Store to open the Microsoft store.
  5. Search the store for 8x8 Outlook Integration, and click Install.

For Outlook 2016 Users on Mac

  1. Log in to the Office 365 account using your email and password, and open Mail.
  2. In the header of the Outlook mail tab, click to open the Store.
  3. Search the store for 8x8 Virtual Office Meetings for Outlook, and click Add.

Bulk Deployment

As a Microsoft Exchange administrator, you can deploy the 8x8 Virtual Office Meetings plug-in for all users at once.

  1. Go to Exchange Admin Center > Organizations.
  2. Find the plug-in in the Plug-in section, and install.
  3. Once the installation is complete, the plug-in is available to all users on the account.
