Set up Audio and Video

The Audio & Video tab under Settings allows you to configure your extension's microphone and camera settings. By default, the Virtual Office desktop app selects the default devices specified in your computer settings. When a new device is plugged in, the Virtual Office desktop app can automatically switch to the new device and notify you, or you can decline the change and keep your prior devices connected. The Virtual Office desktop app allows you to enable Advanced Audio Codec for Windows. With improved audio setup, you can:

Audio Testing Service

The Virtual Office desktop app allows you to test your sound output quality and adjust it as necessary. You can hear how you sound to others, and refine your settings for optimal output.

To test your audio:

  1. Click from the bottom toolbar.
    OR
    Select Virtual Office >Settings from the Virtual Office desktop app menu.
  2. Go to Audio & Video.
  3. Click Call Testing Service under Audio Testing Service.
    You are prompted to record your voice.
  4. Follow the prompts and record your voice. Your recording is played back to you immediately.
  5. You may adjust the microphone volume in at the bottom of your application window, or configure your audio device settings in your computer.
