Set up Notifications

By default, notifications for incoming chats, faxes, voicemails, and missed calls are enabled in the Virtual Office desktop app. You can enable, disable, and fine-tune your notification preferences as needed.

To set up notifications:

  1. In the More tab, go to Settings > Notifications.
  2. You can enable or disable:
    SettingNotifications Affected
    Allow notifications Notifications for all communications except for incoming calls in Virtual Office.
    Messages Notifications for IM and SMS chat messages, faxes, and voicemails.
    Incoming callsIncoming call notifications on your computer when you route incoming calls through your desk phone. If this setting is disabled, you continue to see incoming call information on your desk phone, but not on your computer screen.

    Note: This setting only appears when you have chosen to route incoming calls through your desk phone.

    Missed calls Notifications for incoming calls that timed out and went to voicemail, or were hung up before being answered.

Note: As a Virtual Office desktop app user on Mac, you must enable an additional setting in your system preferences to enable sound for Virtual Office notifications.
