Set Up Auto Answer

Follow these steps to set up auto-answer on your PBX and then configure it within your Communication Panel.

This explanation assumes that you already have the Virtual Office for Salesforce Communication Panel installed. If you have not installedit, click here and follow the instructions to install in Salesforce Classic mode.

Step 1: Turn on Auto Answer on PBX

  1. Auto answer needs to be enabled at the PBX level.
  2. Enabling the feature needs to be done within the startup parameters and the PBX needs to be restarted.

Step 2: Configure the Communication Panel

Within the settings of the Virtual Office for Salesforce Communication Panel, select Auto Answer Hard Phones Outbound to permit the auto answer feature. This feature is for users with a desk phone to speed up dial times. If they are working from an alternate location, they may want to disable the feature which would allow them to place calls via Virtual Office desktop app or Virtual Office mobile app.
