Import Contacts

Let's say that you or your company use Virtual Office and Microsoft Outlook at the same time. You can import your Outlook contacts into the Virtual Office desktop app for a seamless communication experience. You can import contacts from My Contacts in the Contacts tab, and access them from the contact directory as normal. You can also refresh or remove your imported contacts at any time from your settings.

Note: Only organizations that pass this checklist are able to support Outlook contact import; please have your administrator contact 8x8 Support to enable access to this feature.

To import contacts:

  1. Go to Contacts > My Contacts.
  2. Click the New Contact icon, and select Import Outlook contacts to start importing.
  3. At the prompt, make sure that Outlook is open on your computer, select whether you want to import your personal contacts, company contacts, or both, and click Import to add the selected contacts to your Virtual Office contact directory.

To refresh or remove imported contacts:

  1. In the More tab, go to Settings > Contacts.
  2. Next to Microsoft Outlook:
