Configure Bria 4 for 8x8 Contact Center on Windows

8x8 issues softphone licenses to 8x8 Contact Center customers, allowing them to manage all contact center communications from the desktop. CounterPath Bria 4 is a softphone application that enables you to easily manage 8x8 Contact Center VoIP calls from your desktop, replacing or complementing your hard phone.

The configuration procedure in this document applies to Bria users for Windows only. Mac users of 8x8 Contact Center are issued licenses to CounterPath Bria for Mac.

Note: If you have a previous version of Bria installed on your system, you need to uninstall the previous version before proceeding with the new version.

Configuring and testing Bria is a three-step process:

  1. Step 1: Download the Bria software.
  2. Step 2: Configure the Bria phone.
  3. Step 3 : Verify the Bria softphone works with 8x8 Contact Center.
