Set New Forwarding Rules
Apart from setting default rules for call forwarding, the 8x8 Work for Desktop allows you to specify custom rules to block or forward calls from certain numbers.
How do I set a rule to forward calls to multiple numbers?
- Click the Forward to tab.
- Select Forward Calls to.
- Enter phone number.
- Click Add.
- Enter how long your phone must ring before moving on to the next phone number.
- Enter next number.
- Choose to forward calls to these numbers simultaneously or sequentially.
- If you select sequential forwarding, you can prioritize your list by entering numbers in the Order column.
- Click Ok.
- Click Save.
How do I set a rule to forward calls to voicemail, a call queue, or auto attendant?
- Click the Forward to tab.
- Click the After trying to reach all of the phone numbers above, forward callsdrop-down menu.
- Select either Voicemail, Auto Attendant, Ring Group, Call Queue, or Other.
Your call queues and auto attendants need to be set up before you can forward to them. - Click Ok.
- Click Save.
